Kitchen Support Volunteer - Anawim House
Kitchen Support Volunteers play an important role in creating a welcoming, respectful, and nourishing environment at Anawim House. Working alongside staff and program participants, volunteers assist with the preparation and service of breakfast and lunch for community members, while helping maintain a clean and supportive kitchen space.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, is comfortable in a community‑based setting, and values relationship‑building through shared meals.
Volunteer Greeter - Anawim House
Greeters are often the first point of contact for guests arriving at Anawim House. This role helps create a welcoming, respectful, and calm environment by supporting guest flow, providing basic assistance, and fostering connection and community.
Volunteers work alongside staff to support day‑to‑day operations at the front of the house, including greetings, sign‑ins, coordination of services and general hospitality.
Volunteer Maintenance Support
Our spaces are more than just a place to stay — they are sanctuaries designed to foster a true sense of community, belonging, and dignity. Every room, hallway, and shared space plays a role in helping those we support feel safe, respected, and at home.
We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable volunteer maintenance support to help care for these important spaces. Our buildings are busy, well-loved, and deeply relied upon. With that comes a steady need for upkeep — from small repairs and day-to-day fixes to ongoing maintenance and thoughtful improvements. This role is about more than just tools and tasks; it’s about contributing to an environment where people can heal and rebuild.
