Jan brings to Anawim a wealth of diverse life and professional experience. Having lived in India, Toronto, Vanderhoof, Detroit, Winnipeg, and Vancouver, she has gained a broad perspective that shapes both her career and her approach to service.
Over the years, Jan has worked as a sign painter, graphic artist, gardener, network administrator, and, ultimately, in finance and accounting—a field where she found her greatest professional fulfillment. She especially appreciates living in the quiet beauty of Victoria, where she has built the final chapter of her career.
Jan believes that sound financial stewardship is the foundation of every successful organization. For 15 years, she served as Controller at the Union Club of BC, where she developed extensive expertise in accounting and financial management within the non-profit sector. She is delighted to bring her experience, dedication, and commitment to supporting Anawim's mission and ensuring its long-term financial health.
Now semi-retired, Jan enjoys creating art, gardening, international travel, and visiting her son in Seattle.
