Helen worked more than 40 years with the Provincial Government in senior management roles, finishing her career as chief court administrator.  The work included policy and legislative reforms, leading a large workforce and the development of information systems.

Helen and her husband of 50 years and their two daughters have lived in Victoria for many years giving Helen a deep connection to Victoria, including a variety of charitable fundraising efforts as well as serving on parent advisory groups during her children’s school years.

Now long retired, Helen joined the Anawim Board in June 2022, as a means of supporting people who wanted to change their circumstances.  Anawim’s philosophy of supporting those who want to help themselves resonates deeply with Helen as a positive way forward for both individuals and the community.
